The Erased

They took us out of our house, the house we’d dreamed of and yearned for and clawed and scratched to get. Right in broad daylight, neighbors washing their cars and mowing their lawns, they took us.
— Grant Piercy, THE ERASED

We now live in an age of Artificial Intelligence, in which AI models scrape the depths of existing media to generate content. Grant Piercy foresaw such an age in his first novel, THE ERASED, in which humanity relies upon a Knowledgebase that provides the fundamental information for all media and android intelligence.

In his original vision, Architects censor and erase information from the Knowledgebase while testing the limits of Transhuman technologies on helpless prisoners.

In the middle of this stands 77, a prisoner who’s been asked to repair a broken android for his captors. Once he solves the mystery of this android, he may find the truth behind the Transhumans, the elusive Knowledgebase Architects, and the erased.
